For those who love musicals
Visiting a musical in Stuttgart is definitely worth it! Internationally successful productions have thrilled audiences at the Stage Apollo Theater and the Stage Palladium Theater for more than 20 years. A journey into the past is what you will experience when visiting Anastasia – the broadway musical, which has been running in Stuttgart sind the end of 2018. Let yourself be carried away by the secrets oft he Russian tsarist empire and Paris in the 1920s. Since March 2019 there is a brand new musical in Stuttgart: Disney´s Aladdin, the love story from 1001 Nights! This musical tells the timeless story of Aladdin, the Genie and the three wishes.

"Wo ist Afrika?" Exhibition | March 16, 2019 – March 15, 2020
The exhibition "Wo ist Afrika?" invites you to critically explore and re-evaluate contexts and narratives associated to Linden-Museum Stuttgart’s collection of artefacts from the African continent. The exhibition shows how the collections were established, how they developed over time, and which rules of classification they adhered to. A large part of the objects on display were acquired from Cameroon, the Congo basin, Mozambique, Nigeria and Tanzania between the end of 19th and the first half of the 20th. The exhibition opens up a space of cultural creativity, which allows the visitors to near themselves to a wider understanding of culture.
Not only does Stuttgart offer a wealth of cultural opportunities, it also has numerous family attractions! Spend an exciting afternoon in the Wilhelma Zoological Botanical Garden, pass a few educational hours in one of the many museums, or discover the Tripsdrill Theme Park. Your kids will love it!
Stuttgart’s famous attractions
The city is known primarily for its automotive production and as a centre for scientific innovation. One of Stuttgart’s architecturally most interesting Museums is the Porsche Museum. You can see more than 80 vehicles in the extensive exhibition area. The Mercedes-Benz Museum has a display of more than 160 vehicles.
Shopping in Stuttgart
A shopping street over a kilometre long, a shopping centre with the biggest square footage in southern Germany and many elegant shops and boutiques: There is an almost endless supply of temptation for the shopaholic in the Stuttgart area.
City of Wine
Stuttgart is the only large German city with a long winegrowing tradition. And the topography is unique as well. Enclosed by green hills, the city lies in a fertile basin carved by the river Neckar with excellent conditions for growing wine.

No matter whether you go straight through the city or round the Stuttgart Talkessel area - you can take on the city on two wheels really well - thanks to an extensive network of cycle paths!
